NorAfriends stands as an independent, voluntary organization, committed to fostering development, equality, and mutual understanding between the peoples of Norway and Africa, specifically The Gambia. Rooted in a vision of friendship and collaboration, we strive to enhance the lives of children and empower their families to achieve self-sufficiency.
As a cornerstone of Gambian civil society, NorAfriends cultivates social cohesion by building inclusive communities and fostering meaningful connections. Through our monthly donor programs, engagement with local youth, and participation in diverse events, we provide avenues for individuals to actively contribute to causes close to their hearts.
Our approach is centered on long-term sustainability and community empowerment. By nurturing partnerships and facilitating grassroots initiatives, we empower communities to drive their own development and support one another in meaningful ways.
NorAfriends operates through the dedicated efforts of volunteers in Norway, working hand in hand with both volunteers and paid staff in Darsilami. Together, we are united in our mission to create positive change and build a brighter future for all
